Our Salty artists are state licensed to provide services to enhance the appearance of a person’s eyelashes. This may include the application of individual synthetic or natural lashes to a person’s natural lashes, using a variety of techniques including classic lashes, volume lashes, and hybrid lashes, and mega-volume. Salty also offers maintenance services, such as lash fills, to touch up and replace any lashes that have fallen out. In addition, Salty offers lash lifts, which is a treatment that lifts and curls natural lashes, as well as lash and brow tinting services to darken the appearance of light lashes and brows
Eyelash Extensions
Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic or natural fibers that are attached to a person’s natural eyelashes to enhance the length, curl, fullness, and thickness of their natural lashes. They are applied by a trained professional using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that bonds the extensions to the natural lashes. The process typically takes anywhere from one to two hours, depending on the desired look and the number of lashes being applied.
There are several different types of lash extensions, including classic lashes, volume lashes, and hybrid lashes. Classic lashes involve applying one extension to one natural lash, while volume lashes involve attaching multiple lighter extensions to a single natural lash to create a fuller, more dramatic look. Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic and volume techniques.
Eyelash extensions are meant to be a low-maintenance beauty treatment and can last for several weeks with proper care. However, they will eventually need to be touched up or replaced as the natural lashes grow and shed.
Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with fine needles to create controlled injuries to the skin. The needles puncture the skin and create tiny channels, which can stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, the proteins that give skin its structure and elasticity.
Microneedling is typically used to improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture, and large pores. It can be performed on the face, neck, décolletage, and other areas of the body.
The procedure is typically performed by a trained skincare professional and takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. After the treatment, the skin may be red and swollen for a few days, but most people can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure.
Lash Lifts
A lash lift is a cosmetic treatment that is used to give the appearance of longer, fuller, and more lifted lashes. It involves using a chemical solution to lift and curl the natural lashes from the root, creating a more youthful and open-eyed look. Lash lifts can be an alternative to traditional lash curlers or falsies, and the effects typically last for several weeks.
The procedure is typically performed by a trained esthetician or lash artist and takes about 45 minutes to an hour. A silicone rod is placed on top of the eyelid, and the natural lashes are adhered to it using a water-based solution. A lifting solution is then applied to the lashes and left on for several minutes before being neutralized with a second solution. The lash lift process is usually painless and does not cause any damage to the natural lashes.
After the treatment, the lashes will be left looking lifted and curled, and they will stay in this position until they naturally grow out or fall out. A lash lift can be paired with a lash tint, which is a treatment that darkens the appearance of light lashes, for an even more dramatic look.
